Associate Professor Maren Vitousek

Maren Vitousek is an Assistant Professor in the Ecology and Evolutionary Biology Department at Cornell University, and at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. After growing up in Hawaii she received a BA from Amherst College and a PhD from Princeton. Maren is an integrative biologist. Her work combines tools and approaches from animal behavior, physiology, genomics, microbiology, and other fields to test questions about how organisms cope with stress and respond to changing information about their social and physical environments. Ongoing research projects have been funded by NSF, DARPA, and the USDA.
